I'm so behind with stuff this weekend it's ridiculous. But I'm running out of time for this, so...

This is pro-Sherlock, has mixed feelings about Elementary, and is not at all sympathetic to the anti-Moffat and Gatiss crap flying around. I'm not trying to offend anyone, but I'm not tiptoeing around anyone's delicate feelings either. So you know, business as usual.

General opinion seems to be that we were given three explanations for how the not-dead trick was done but none of them was the truth? I didn't take that away from the episode at all. There have been a lot of comments that the third one is in a bizarre place in the episode, in the middle of the train scene. It's not though, it's right after John tells Sherlock the truth, what he thinks of him, and that he forgives him. To me that says what we see of Sherlock's memory at that point is the truth, even if he's not saying it to John. Anderson not believing him just tells me he doesn't have many marbles left.

Of course, if we get three more explanations in tonight's episode (please god, no, I don't really care how it was supposedly done either) then I'm way off the mark *g*

For the record: I loved 3.01. I don't think they were mocking the fans, and I don't think they are trying to beat us over the head with their 'authority' over the story. I don't think we are being abused and told to like it, and I don't know wtf you're smoking if you're seriously jumping on that cracked-out little bandwagon. They are having fun, the same as any fan, they just happen to be able to put their fanwork on tv and get paid for it (and there's a legitimate problem with who gets to do this, but this is not the same issue). They know they are lucky, lucky bastards. I think you're a bit puddled if you prefer something like Elementary to something with so much obvious love and passion in its creation, but each to their own.

I like Elementary too. As a show. I don't really think of him as Sherlock Holmes though. I mean, I took 2 goes to pass my maths exams but I can spot a Millennium Problem in a second and SH can't? Give me a break. And I don't think it's managed to surprise me with any of the plots yet. But it's fine. It's good, and I enjoy watching it.

But Sherlock is so much more FUN. FUN. I never know what the hell they are going to throw at me next, and I love that.
