Please note most of the info here is out of date - I am trying to post more but I have a stupid illness that takes all my energy away. I am updating the list of fandoms, though I don't get to read them all regularly.

I started out discovering fandom by reading BtVS fic when I should have been working. About five seconds after reading a Harry Potter crossover (around the time OotP came out) I jumped ship to HP and started writing fic for the first time.
If I read or write fic it will probably be for one of the following: Harry Potter, Stargate: Atlantis, Numb3rs, Dr Who, Ultraviolet, Red Dwarf, Boondock Saints, Pirates of the Caribbean, Oz, Hornblower, Supernatural, BtVS/Angel, House, Heroes, Gossip Girl & GG RPF(judge away, I don't care *g*). I am a sucker for pairings that involve incest, age gaps or are really rare, and I mostly like slash, but I have written other things.
Be warned I'm not much for lurking, I like to comment when I have time. I probably talk too much. I love silliness, enjoy people's real-life posts, like to get to know people, and occasionally spam anyone willing to hand over their address with postcards. If you're really unlucky they'll have drabbles or doodles on them.
I'm hard to offend unless you really try, but I have a sticky note on my desk to remind me not everyone is the same. Insult those I love (randomly includes family, LJ friends, Buffalo Tom, Sirius Black, every canine in the known universe and whatever strange people I chatted to at the bus stop lately) at your peril.
I also have the worst memory in the world (no, really), so if I wish you happy birthday twice, or forget that you have a pet iguana (actually that's the sort of thing I tend to remember, which probably says something about me) it doesn't mean I'm not interested. I forget my mum's birthday regularly too. And I can never, ever, remember what 'exanimate' means, however many times I look it up.
